Exploitation films have been around since the 30's and 40's, using loopholes to get around government censorship to show taboo material. Continuing into the late 60's, Exploitation hit a boom in popularity, due to it's use of gruesome violence and explicit levels of sex and nudity. Even though exploitation faded in the 80's, new films continue to be produced, and it's fanbase is ever growing.
